Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports around the age of 14. She was trained in boxing, kickboxing wrestling and BJJ before making her professional debut at 18, at WCFC against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd kept building on the victory she scored at Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won 3 consecutive bouts. She dominated all her competitors in the initial round. In the following weeks she took on WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen won against Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 before taking on Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia had a superior record to Aspen in the fight, beating her by unanimous vote. Cynthia's amateur record was marred. Ladd bounced back from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to improve her record to 8-1. Aspen became a professional in 2015. Aspen joined Invicta FC and made her debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and was able to dominate her, securing a first-round TKO. The next time she fought, she won at the hands of Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. Aspen then fought at the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Aspen took on McGill through her grappling and eventually defeated her in the third round with a TKO. Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 in the catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd did not have enough weight. But, Aspen was able to beat Hoy. The fight was won through a TKO during the second round. As for her final fight for this promotion, Ladd beat Sijara Eubanks by unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, taking on Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina with a ground-and-pound strategy to defeat her by TKO in the second round. She continued her dominance and scored an even impressive victory in her next fight against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd won over Evinger within the first minute as well as a win of the night's prize. The fighter fought for the first time in a major fight at The UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Vs. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Both the fighters put on an exchange of blows that culminated with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and both fighters receiving an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in just 16 seconds to end her streak of winning. She came back to finish Yana Kunitskaya, in the 3rd round of UFC at ESPN 7. For a rematch, she took on Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
