Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is the daughter of an ethnically diverse family in South London in England. Her mother is English while her father is Nigerian. She was raised in the south London Council Estate. She attended The Brit School aged 14. She studied acting in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. The stage she appeared in was many productions while attending school including the King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe first began her acting career with Storm Damage. In the years since, she's been a guest star for Teachers, Doctors, Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her breakthrough role came in 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was opposite Colin Farrell (who played the part of Cassandra) as well as Ewan McGrath. In the following year she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she appeared in Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. In 2008, the actress was offered Bambi who was the leading character in the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was also the lead character in How to lose friends & alienate people that was aired by Sony Pictures Entertainment the year 2008. Her stage credits are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe had her official US debut in the 2009 drama series The Beautiful Life, which only aired two episodes on The CW before being cancelled. In February 2011, she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe was a regular on the drama series on ABC Revenge in two episodes. The show was announced in May 2013 that she'd leave the series after making an appearance in the first episode of season three. Between 2014 and 2016, she starred in Salem in the role of Tituba. Madekwe married her long-time partner, Iddo. They've collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl in the past, and Goldberg was also on the show with Madekwe in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with an extended family. Ashley Leggat was born to Roy and Patty and her other siblings - Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's brothers were all extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey throughout the winter and summer months. They grew up playing stadiums and played baseball. Ashley had never been able to actually walk. She was a dancer. So when she was 2 and a 1/2, she was a part of Baby Ballet. Ashley began to develop a love of dancing shortly after she joined the Baby Ballet. Ashley competed in tap, jazz and ballet at the top divisions. Top soloists at important competitions like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more were awarded to Ashley.
